Roberts Wesleyan College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing, beginning July 1, 2017. Rank and salary are based on degree earned, college teaching, and other professional experience.
Qualifications: Qualifications include an advanced degree in nursing and NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Preference will be given to nurse practitioners and individuals with a completed doctoral degree. Candidates must be highly skilled and flexible, able to teach a wide variety of courses to undergraduate and graduate students in traditional and nontraditional programs.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibility is teaching. Additional responsibilities include advising nursing students, serving on School of Nursing and college committees, and collaborating to develop new programs and community partnerships. Promotion and tenure at the College is based on achievement across four broad categories: teaching, scholarship, profession-related activity, and service.
The School of Nursing is the largest school at Roberts Wesleyan College. As a learning community grounded in the Christian faith and committed to excellence in nursing through innovative education, scholarship and service, the School of Nursing serves 350+ nursing students in growing pre-licensure and post-licensure bachelor of nursing degree programs and a vibrant graduate program with nursing education and nursing leadership/administration tracks.
