We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to be the EVENING SHIFT HOUSE SUPERVISOR ( 11P-7:00A) at Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing safe, compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex healthcare needs. Required licensure in the state of Ohio as a RN. Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health hospital setting and experience with senior and geriatric aged patients required.
RN House Supervisor may perform the following responsibilities and duties:
Provides oversight for the provision of care. Serves as a resource to the direct care staff. Coordinates on-site response to incidents, errors and sentinel events. Provides support to the DON and Nurse Manager with staffing, staff education, and other activities as assigned. Provides direct patient care under the Registered Nurse job description when necessary and/or assigned. Monitor unit functioning through direct observation of patient care and milieu, and review of medical record documentation. Observe staff and visitor interactions with patients to ensure they remain appropriate and respectful of the interests, strengths and needs of each patient. Address patient/family/agency concerns when they arise. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of requirements related to medication management, seclusion and restraint, infection control, risk management, critical incidents, sentinel events, patient rights and ethical code of conduct. Serve as a role model and leader, offering education and mentoring to the staff by maintaining an overall understanding of the programs and population specific treatment. Ensure the treatment provided supports the treatment plan and physician orders. Intervene in crisis situations and investigate incidents/events/process variances. Oversee bed management by working closely with the Intake department. Oversee nursing services documentation to ensure it meets hospital policy.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current state licensure CPI/CPR Certified per policy 2 years of nursing experience 1 year consisting of psychiatric nursing experience 1 year of management experience preferred
